Crocheted Hats

I made some crocheted hats for Christmas gifts this year.
There is a cupcake hat, a frog hat, a fish hat, an angry bird hat, and an army helmet/camo hat.

Here are individual pictures of the hats.  I know the picture quality is bad.  I used my cell phone.  I need to get a decent camera.

Crafty Rambles

With the end of the year coming and a new one beginning, I look back and see that I did not do a very good job with my blog or business.  I vow to change that.  Starting now.

2013 is bringing a lot of new and exciting things for my family!  We are working on starting a
mobile kitchen/catering company.  I have plans on finishing the second half of our upstairs (and that means lots of crafts!).  I will be getting another job (hopefully).  I will be making lots of crafts (to sell and gift).  That brings me to the purpose of this post...  My New Year's Resolutions.  If I put it out for public to see, I might be more accountable for accomplishing it than if I write it down on a piece of paper.

1.  Finish the hats (presents) that I didn't make yet.  I believe I have 5 to make.
2.  Make 2 Christmas Stockings
3.  Make Christmas tree skirt
(I started with Christmas so I can put them away with the decorations and have everything in one place)
4.  Make 6 blankets/throws for Christmas 2013 presents
7.  Figure out and make 25 children's presents
8.  Make quilt for new bedroom
9.  Make wall art for new bedroom
10. Make 3 different dress designs to sell
11. Make 2 different boy items to sell
12. Market Cutie Patootie's
13. Design/create logo for catering
14. Make shirts for catering
15. Make my daughter something
16. Save money!!!
17.  Have a goal of crafting at least one item a week
18. Take lots of walks with the family
19. Keep up with blog
20.
21.
22.

I left a few numbers blank so I can add on throughout the year.   I will cross out things as I finish them.  Do I really think I will accomplish everything?  Probably not, but if I can accomplish 75% of this list, I will be happy.

Happy New Year's!

Reversible Vest and Diaper Covers

It is so easy to find inspirations to make little girl things.  Little boys, on the other hand, is so much harder.  Then I came across some fabric, and everything started to click into place.

As soon as I saw the monkeys, I knew it screamed boy.  After that, I was all about making a vest.  I started to create a pattern right away.  Then I started on a pattern for a diaper cover.

I think this would be such a cute outfit for a one year photo shoot.  Diaper covers match both sides of the vest.

This is my nephew posing as a model for me.  I didn't add buttons because I am not sure buttons would be so comfortable, but they can be added if wanted.
